Fright Fest 2022 was the 34th annual Fright Fest event at Six Flags St. Louis. It operated on select nights, mainly Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from September 23 through October 30, 2022. For the first time, the daytime activities were marketed as a separate event, Kids Boo Fest, though they only operated on Saturdays and Sundays.

The event featured four haunted attractions; the newly introduced Jingle Mangle, the expanded Oddball's FunHouse, as well as Creatures of the Corn and The Slaughter House. There were five scare zones; Cannibal Hideout near The Log Flume, Sinister Clowns in Britannia, Sycophants in Illinois, Troll Bypass in the arbor tunnels between Gateway to the West and DC Comics Plaza, and Zombieville between Studio Backlot and Chouteau's Market.

Attractions[]

Haunted attractions[]

  • Jingle Mangle (Sponsored by M&M's - 1904 World's Fair): These elves are tired of making toys...well good toys anyway. They have gone to the dark side and taken over the entire operation. If you stop by to take a tour or check on an order, you will not get a warm welcome by these angry and distorted mutant elves. (2022 addition)
  • Creatures of the Corn (Sponsored by Twix - Illinois): The path through this cornfield is longer now and filled with more obstacles. Dark corners, misleading paths and dead ends will cost you time and there is none to waste. Is the rustling behind you just the corn, or is it the creatures who live in the corn?
  • Oddball's FunHouse (Sponsored by Milky Way - Britannia): Oddball loves a good laugh...at your expense! He will lure you into his maze of warped and bizarre rooms... and this year he has added more in hopes of tricking you into staying.
  • The Slaughter House (Sponsored by 3 Musketeers - Gateway to the West): Pigman lives! And he is still on his quest for revenge against those who have taken his land and hurt his kind. With the help of his legion of pig-like creatures, he will have vengeance against all humans who step into the halls of his Slaughter House.

Sites and scare zones[]

  • Troll Bypass (Missouri Arbor): You can take this shortcut, but there will be a toll to pay. These Trolls are looking for treasures and sacrifices to honor their leader and you may be both if you aren't careful as you travel these dark arbors. (2022 addition)
  • Blood Bank Lounge (Gateway to the West): Screaming makes a mortal thirsty, so step inside and enjoy an adult beverage with our resident Vampires.
  • Sycophants (Illinois): Step into this post-apocalyptic world, where people have gone mad and outsiders are not welcome.
  • Cannibal Hideout (1904 World's Fair): Everyone has different tastes, but our cannibals have a taste for... you. They will most definitely welcome you to dinner, but you won't like what is on the menu.
  • Zombieville (Studio Backlot): This is not the vacant village it seems to be. If you must travel this way, go quickly and watch your back because something will be watching it too.
  • Sinister Clowns (Britannia): Step right up folks! Join our rogue clowns for the Black Top Circus, where fun becomes fright and smiles become screams!
  • Rottingham & Bones Graveyard (Palace Gardens): Come say hello to our Headless Horseman and the undertaker as he makes another delivery to the graveyard. But try not to scream, we don't want you to wake the countless souls who reside here.
